Day one 6/13/2011

This is my first time I have ever had a blog. I'm really hoping I set it up correctly. I will weight myself later today and post if I have gained, stayed the same or lost weight. I am obese. I have a lot of weight to loose, well over 100 pounds.I will not be posting what I weigh at this time, only what I lose. I will try and post a picture later so you can see where I am starting from. I have started to eat better this week. Cutting out junk food, but haven't started to exercise yet.

  1. I know it is hard, but you can do this with God's help, I found that usually when we have difficulty with something or crave something, like food, we only thik it is food, but the root of the desire or hunger is a desire for God's presences, a hunger for Him, it is the same with people who have multiple affiars, they are looking for the love of God, just like with food, you can eat and eat and the desire is not quenched, or go from relationship to relationship, etc. until we recognize what is at the root, the emptiness that only He can fill, we try to fill it with other things, food, relationships, for some it is drugs or alcohol, all are just symptoms of the built in hunger for God. I know you are going to wlak with Him in this, and because of that you will be so successful, I am glad you did not post your weight, because I already see the healthy, strong and fit you. I swtarted running almost a year ago-I never thought I would be able to run more than thirty seconds! Even that was awful! But I found that by taking an mp3 player with sermons or praise music helped a lot,I now run 2-3 miles every time I go out, but it took months to get there. so if you can,get an mp3 player, so many ministries have all of their sermons archived online, you can down load them and listen to them while you walk, sometimes I would have gone as far as I haed planned to run or walk, but the sermon waws so good, I just kept going! Same with the music, some days I just keep going. I will be praying for you!-Kelly
